The earth is eternal and will never be destroyed.

God made it so.

@MartinTheFirst that never says he won't destroy the old earth and create a new earth does it?

Rev 21

21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

@Deadcutie What that scripture is referring to is how the rulership in the heavens and over the earth changes into a new era, with how the 144 000 people alongside Christ starts to rule like kings. Jesus will bring back their holy government to earth so that we may once again be dwelling in a paradise.

The Earth is eternal, since God will not let it be destroyed. If he let go of it, it would without a doubt descend into destruction, but he constantly renews it and keeps it in balance.

@MartinTheFirst no, it's a a new heaven and earth. The Greek words used there are clear in the meaning and no biblical scholar disputes the meaning..The entire universe is done away with and recreated new with no corruption from the old world.. even the spiritual heaven of God's abode is altered.. at this point humans no longer exist, we will have been changed into spiritual beings and fulfilled our destiny.

@Deadcutie Many scholars disagree in this area, otherwise you wouldn't find me believing something different. The visions that God gave Job were highly symbolical and not to be taken literally.

Evidence of this:
Revelation 13:1 And I saw a wild beast ascending out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, and on its horns ten diadems, but on its heads blasphemous names. 2 Now the wild beast that I saw was like a leopard, but its feet were like those of a bear, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. And the dragon gave to the beast its power and its throne and great authority.
3 I saw that one of its heads seemed to have been fatally wounded, but its mortal wound had been healed, and all the earth followed the wild beast with admiration. 4 And they worshipped the dragon because it gave the authority to the wild beast, and they worshipped the wild beast with the words: “Who is like the wild beast, and who can do battle with it?” 5 It was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and it was given authority to act for 42 months. 6 And it opened its mouth in blasphemies against God to blaspheme his name and his dwelling place, even those residing in heaven. 7 It was permitted to wage war with the holy ones and conquer them, and it was given authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation. 8 And all those who dwell on the earth will worship it. From the founding of the world, not one of their names has been written in the scroll of life of the Lamb who was slaughtered.
This might peak your interest however.

In noah's days they spoke of it in the same way.
2 Peter 3:1

Beloved ones, this is now the second letter I am writing you in which, as in my first one, I am stirring up your clear thinking faculties by way of a reminder, 2 that you should remember the sayings previously spoken by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles. 3 First of all know this, that in the last days ridiculers will come with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires 4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep in death, all things are continuing exactly as they were from creation’s beginning.”
5 For they deliberately ignore this fact, that long ago there were heavens and an earth standing firmly out of water and in the midst of water by the word of God; 6 and that by those means the world of that time suffered destruction when it was flooded with water. 7 But by the same word the heavens and the earth that now exist are reserved for fire and are being kept until the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly people.
@MartinTheFirst whatever the case whether the earth is physically destroyed or not, I think we can agree it will be altered or changed that it will not be the earth we know today....
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@Deadcutie I mean sure we can look past it and don't care about the truth over what will happen... but there is a truth and my scriptures explains it. Yes a different world. Not a different planet, but a change.
Deadcutie · 18-21, F
@MartinTheFirst your interpretation, that's not truth..
