Is there any excuse for a husband/wife to hit their "beloved" partner?

@SW-User I beg to differ I seen a lady attack her husband because he was beating their son.

@WeighedDown Okay. I retract. There is no excuse to hit your partner unless this partner is endangering you or your loved ones.

@SW-User I believe a wife can hit her husband but he can't hit her back.

@ItsGonnaBeOk domestic violence is domestic violence the gender of the offender does not matter it is still wrong for her to hit him

@SW-User some people might disagree, here is my opinion : wemen in general are weaker than men so even if she tried to hit a man she wouldn't do any actual damage " unless she were a bodybuilder or carrying a crowbar " .

Women usually slap and men usually punch there is a hug difference

@ItsGonnaBeOk I agree physically most men are stronger however my baby mama weighs twice as much as I do and she punched the hell out of me. I grabbed her and hugged her. So basically you are advocating gender-specific domestic violence? I've seen quite a few abusive women who will punch throw objects and having been a victim of domestic violence at the hands of a woman I have to disagree with you.

See that's what I am talking about, she hits you and you hug her.

@WeighedDown I know in some cases women go too far , I know a woman who tried to stab her husband in front of their children.

@ItsGonnaBeOk yes, I used love to defuse the situation, her hitting me was an emotional reaction to my razor tounge. I guess I kinda see your point because I don't think a man could be defused with love and a hug. My best friend threw some mashed potatos at the wall got slapped by his wife, used my phone to call the law and they took him to jail because they talked to her and she lied saying he pushed, that never happened and when my friend got out of jail he refused to even talk to her until she told the truth which she eventually did.
