Big demographic and cultural differences make comparisons hard.

OK, 1 gun for every 4 people and a homicide rate of 0.50 per 100,000 population.

@wildrosez Switzerland, of course it depends on what year you look at but the homicide rate is 9 or 10 times lower in Switzerland than in the US.

@wildrosez That is exactly what I said we have 10 times more, 10 times .5 is 5. It matches what your article says. We have 10 times more. And depending on the source we have 1 gun for everyone, maybe more.

@wildrosez There are a lot of charts out there and it makes things difficult to compare because different countries use different definitions and report crime differently but you can get a general idea anyway.

@wildrosez That site sorts the countries by region not by rate which makes it difficult to keep up with.

I was surprised by some of the islands, never thought of them as having a high rate. Guns are heavily regulated in el salvadore since 1999. They have no right to keep and bear arms like those in the US.

@wildrosez Of course this is not my subject I usually am talking about psychology and stuff on here I only tried to look the violence and guns up because you asked.
