Have you heard this?

Trump wants to replace food stamps with mostly canned foods and other government commodities. Of course, this will have no effect on Trump supporters since they oppose government entitlements for health care or food programs.

My main concern is that (other than sodium and water) canned veggies have NO nutritional value, pretty much dead food. At least peanut butter has plenty of protein. The cheese is a processed food and mostly provides a minimum of protein otherwise, it has little nutritional value either.

Canned meat is horribly high in sodium and fats, not to mention that kind of meat contains a crap load of GMO, the animals raised in the most horrific ways.

Your opinion please.

Is the problem people are buying the wrong food or their monthly allowance for food is too high?

@Tminus6453 wrong food??? what does that even mean? Don't you know how much food costs?

@Fernie Im askin Coyotedave ... now move along
@Tminus6453 He thinks it will lower cost when actually the cost would be much higher.

Imagines the number of folks needed to sort and pact millions of boxes, getting them sent to households. The cost would be HUGE.

@Coyotedave611 That what i was thinking, it really doesnt make sense.. its why im not getting why he is needing change in the first place, is it because of monthly cost to the consumer or because of the food people are buying? if its cost just lower their monthly stipend
@Tminus6453 Just to curb the monthly stipend.
