@therighttothink50 No man, if you point your browser to an URL (https://duckduckgo.com, in this case) you don't need Google at all.
Search engines are like phone indexes, if you already know the number you want to call you don't go through them.

@therighttothink50 Not really, depends on the browser you use. Chrome probably does, Firefox doesn't (aside for providing a search bar that can be configured to use any search engine, not necessarily Google). Also, open-source browsers (like Firefox) come along with their source code, which means you can inspect yourself - or even change - whatever they do.
