What are the things or rules that you live by every day?

The 14 rules I live by.

1. Dress well as you only get one chance at first impressions.
2. Don't say anything behind someone's back that you wouldn't say to their face. This will make
sure that you don't exaggerate, lie, or be too hurtful.
3. Be yourself and embrace who you truly are. This gives you confidence in who you are.
4. Prepare for every day like it is the most important day of your life.
5. Be respectful and talk to every one. This makes people feel cared for and important.
6. Your cell phone is not as important as the person who you're actually with.
7. Prepare for the next day the night before. Layout your clothes, fill the coffee maker, shine
your shoes, prepare your bag, etc etc.
8. If you need something to get you through your day make sure that you have multiple of them.
9. Plan for the unexpected. Lunch gets delayed have a snack with you, cell phone dies have a
charger, etc etc
10. Listen twice as much as you talk. Your words should have meaning behind them and if you talk all
the time your words have almost no meaning.
11. Who you are tomorrow should be a better person than who you are today. This has many truths. You
should learn something new, get one more rep, be kinder, learn a new word, read a chapter, etc.
12. Embrace yourself and make sure you like the things that you're doing. If you don't like who you
are, how you are dressed, how you act, then why would anyone else like you?
13. Limit dramatics and only curse when it is absolutely needed. If you scream or use capitals you
look like a preteen throwing a temper tantrum. If you curse all the time it makes you look like
you have no self control. You want to be taken seriously so let your knowledge and your
presentation do the work. Dramatics belittle what you're trying to say.
14. If you can do the work then do it yourself and don't pass it on to others. It is an act of
laziness if you have the knowledge and can do the work and instead pass it off onto others. Do
the work, take pride in the work, feel accomplished.

1.unless they pay my bills their opinions dont matter
2.unless it involves death dont ask anyone for help
@cheesyonions These bring a lot of thought to mind after reading them.
@WildernessWriterExplorer what kinda thoughts?
@cheesyonions Honestly the first one I hope has a little bit of wiggle room. It reminds me of how I was at 13-14 before I got into boxing. I thought I was always right, always the most intelligent, and the baddest man in the room. Secondly you're going to need help if not you will be stuck doing only what you can do and what you know.
@WildernessWriterExplorer youre kinda right i used death metaphorically coz i rarely ask for help i mean, theres always a way to handle my own shit. first one is metaphorical too to mean just because someone has an opinion doesnt mean you should be concerned or bothered. they gotta care first.
@cheesyonions Good to hear.
