@SW-User The Earth is approximately 4 billion years old. We come from homo-erectus. As we stand, we have thrived for over 80,000 thousand years. I recall bible pages make good rolling papers if you've got nothing else. By the way....In Genesis,it says: "And all life crept forth from out of the sea". Them Jews were pretty smart. Still are.

@SW-User It has been my experience that when you start reading archeology, the word 'theory' is operative. They're pretty sure they know what ISN'T true, but they have little proof of what they THINK is true. I'm holding my opinion in reserve.

@Mamapolo2016 Archeology is the study of artifacts. Not carbon dating. Paleotolgists, geologists, climitologist, biologists, geneologist are the people in whom one may safely place their trust. Or would you rather go with some fucking bible-thumper wearing a Rolex watch asking you for money and "faith"? The bible says; "Faith is the substance of things unseen and things hoped for." That is not good enough. I'll take a modern-day scientist hands-down! Sorry about my poor spelling.

I vote neither the scientist who is not self-funding OR the Rolex-wearing Bible-thumper. Why must the choices be diametrically opposed? Why must WE be diametrically opposed? There are people of integrity in most disciplines. We who are so appalled by some stereotypes still perpetuate others.

Since you like your faith so much, puzzle this out.....:hint: Jesus spoke of it in The Lords Prayer........"Kether is the Malkuth of the Unmanifest". It comes smack dab from your own doctrine.

Why are you angry? Does that offer a chance for discussion? I'm not preaching, I'm asking. I told you nothing of my faith, but you already know who I am and what I think. Science is as much a religion these days as Christian Science is. Neither will brook questioning.

It's conceivable you could persuade me, because I don't have any answers and I envy those who do.

Show me above in our conversation where I said you could find the 'real' answers in the Bible.

I don't know what or where the answers are. I'm glad for you if you do, and I wish you nothing but well.

When I am talking with someone and they dial up the anger and fear, I begin to question how sure they really are, regardless of the topic.
