Ironically, most of us kids respected and liked the ones who were the most strict and often said, "I very rarely grade an "A" to my students. It kind of motivated us to try for the highest grade.
My favourite teacher was a Spaniard attorney who was my Universal History teacher.
He smoked a pipe with a tobacco that smelled delicious (yes, I know, tobacco in class, etc, etc ) and he was such an awesome brilliant speaker that I remember almost seeing the Romans parading around in our classroom while he explained how life was back then.
Not sure if I have a favorite. I usually like all of the teachers I've had, simply because they all did their best to educate us. Even if they were too fast or not the right teacher for me they still did their job.
in 6ᵗʰ grade … it was my science-teacher(male) who made the most favorable/indelible impression upon me. in 12ᵗʰ grade … my literature teacher(female) was the one i respected/revered most.
