Would it be weird to enroll...

In an adult women’s beginner swim class? I really want to learn how to swim. I took swim lessons when I was 5 to about 7 years old, but then it wasn’t required anymore. I don’t even know if they have adult beginner swimming classes. I love the pool so much, but I am not a strong swimmer.
I think I would really enjoy it. I hated it as a kid mostly because we had to wear those horrible bathing caps back in the 70’s.

Hiya, maybe if they don't spefically do something for your age group ask them? Or maybe if theres any other swimming pools around you? Might have to travel cause the places nearby cater to young or old theres no middle ground lol

There are swimming lessons available at most indoor swimming pools in Australia - they aren't expensive - go for it

Go for it! I belong to a local pool and love it. And no horrible 70's bathing caps required! 🏊
I hated those as a kid. So tight it was like the blood circulation was cut off...then we had the goggles. Lol@LyricalOne

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 Lol... I'm just remembering that thick rubber. What were they thinking? Probably gave me brain damage. Actually that explains a lot. 🤔
Haha...the boys didn’t have to wear them. Why did the girls have to look like dorks? I never understood them. I thought it was to keep the hair dry, but I remember my hair always wet.@LyricalOne

I don't think it's weird, we're never too old to learn.

Why not, it's good exercise...

I never swim till I reached mid30’s. I had an accident while I was small. Still not a good swimmer though, it’s fun.
The gym I go to has free lessons for first time swimmers. Everyone are really enjoying it thought it’s their first experiences.

Not at all, go for it

of course not! go for it
UpsideOutInsideDown · 41-45, M
Definitely not. If it's an adult beginners class then you're exactly who it's for.
They don’t seem to have them. Only Aqua Fit for Oldies. 🙄@UpsideOutInsideDown

Try asking in there. I'm sure they would have some sort of class for it. It's more common than a lot of people realise, some people just don't learn to do it. There's absolutely no shame in it whatsoever
chrisCA · M
You are never too old to learn or try something new.
Go for it.
I got a timetable and it’s just those aqua aerobics for oldies...😩 @chrisCA

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 That's too bad. You are definitely not an "oldie". 🙂
No...I’m not. I don’t mind Aqua Fit with ladies in big bathing suits...I just would like to learn to swim. I love the pool. If I had a pool I’d be in it every day. @chrisCA

it's never too late to learn anything and it might save yours or someone else's life
I would love to be a strong swimmer. My husband actually saved someone’s life once. Pulled him from the water. @wheels1972
It would be great if you could.

Go for it! You're never too old, ever. Have fun. :)

You should do it. Not weird at all.

Can you swim at all?
