Reading what you’ve said, I would say that while their intentions might have been coming from a well-meaning place of concern, their actions were not justifiable. You had not given any sort of consent to have your messages screened by an outside source, even if it was meant to help.

What would have been the better thing to do, is that person actually talk to you themselves, or at least have who you were talking to tell you what they wanted to do.

You're right to question why this person would want to consult a stranger of authority about you when they could just as easily have come to you first !
But if you've heard nothing more about what or why.......Not worth worrying about is it ?
@Picklebobble2 It just concerns me that privacy could be breached so easily. I don't open myself often, and on this rare occasion I hapoen to open myself up, they somehow think that they could do anything with the informations.
