Do you have any preconceived notions about atheists?

@dontbeakoala I go with agnostic atheist because that's what holds weight for me. People, in general, can be assholes, atheist or not.

i think i have that image in my head because i watch youtube videos a lot....when you search atheist you get these very smug/inflammatory people.
i go with agnostic mostly because i am open to have my mind changed by an iron clad consistent argument and theist is just there because i find the concept of god entertaining....but i also find the concept of us living in the matrix interesting as well, both cant be disproved or proved.

This is exactly my argument for being an agnostic atheist and not agnostic theist. Proof is not demonstrated by the lack of evidence of its non-existence; it is proven by evidence that supports existence. A lack of evidence/proof can be found for everything that does not exist.

oh i just use theist to avoid the word atheist nothing more, don't want to put into a box when i say "ashiest" because of famous dumb people who i find to be just super dumb. especially since most of them for some reason have certain conservative stances.

@dontbeakoala Actually, there are a number of liberal atheists in the US and UK. Many of them are quite intelligent. I'm not sure who these "famous" atheists are but sounds like they are a vocal minority in a limited setting.

could be that that's only on youtube,also some people build there identity out of atheism as well just like how religious people do it, which can be very obnoxious.
