I would have visited my former fiancee in California before I moved there to live with her. I probably would not have moved to California.

Over 30 years ago: I may have found out that she was an alcoholic drug user, and then she wouldn't have been able to go through my life savings of over $12,000 in three months, and I could have saved my writing career..

@Byron8by7 that must have been such a horrible experience . you 'd lost your life heritage before you made the right decision .

It was a devastatingly costly education in the school of life. I never really recovered. My life would have been much different, for the better, I think.
