Why does wine seem to get me drunk more quickly than most liquors?

@SW-User No, the opposite actually. Liquors have a higher alcohol content, but wine gets me to my destination more quickly.

@SW-User Wait wtf, so in order of alcohol content, lowest to highest is beer,wine, liquor? (Also didn't know liquor was a thing in itself XD)

@SW-User But you, if you're like most people, dilute the liquor with other liquids. Depending on how weak or strong you make it, you could be getting less alcohol per drink. I doubt that many people dilute their wine.

@SW-User Haha that would be correct. And when someone says liquor, they typically mean vodka/whiskey/rum/tequila. That kind of thing.

@SW-User So was I when I started haha. But it's nothing you shouldn't wait for. Its not really something exciting and special like people make it seem to be.

@SW-User Liquor. Distilled Spirits. Strength depends on how distilled they are.

@SW-User yeah ik, can't stand the smell or taste (least of wine, had a sip around Thanksgiving but that was it)

@SW-User I've discovered I have more fun staying sober and watching other get stupid and sloppy. And I never wake up with a hangover since I stopped drinking. Well to be honest, I don't think I ever really had a hangover. What I had were shamed mornings after being stupid drunk.

@SW-User It totally depends on the wine. Sweet whites are much easier to drink than dry reds.

@Serenitree Yeah, getting drunk is no fun at all. I like to drink until I can feel my veins become warm and tingly and that's about it.

@Serenitree Hangovers don't sound fun. But drunk people are funny.

@SW-User It was red, and extremely bitter.

@SW-User Yeah I like Riesling. Its a German wine. Its white and relatively sweet.

@SW-User Funny ridiculous, until they go beyond funny to depressed or in the mood for a fight, or start puking on everyone and peeing themselves before passing out in you car when you drive them home. Or worst of all, you look around and they've disappeared, then you hear on the news, next day that they killed three people because they passed out while driving themselves home.

@Serenitree ... Well when you put it that way, it sounds terrible. But I meant the staggering, horrible vocal skills and loss of focus, not to mention the face planting XD
