My friend is diagnosed with delusional disorder

She denies the diagnosis. She so strongly believes she's under surveillance by the government, does not trust anyone. It's painful to watch her unfold her logic. How can I convinced her to accept the treatment the doctor is offering?

You can't really. Or she will think you're a part of it too. Just try to be as supportive as you can be.

you cant convince anyone of anything. everyone believes what they believe. they have to come to the realization themselves

That's called paranoid schizophrenia

@Thatguy78 man it hurts to see that the same brain that's supposed to help someone works against the person.

Let me guess she is a liberal. They all have a similar mental disease. As for convincing your friend you can not convince her nor force her. I have tried many many times to help people with mental issues but so long as they are not a danger to themselves or to others they are considered to be sane can not be forced into treatment.
