A way for the government to interfere with private business.

@TheProphet oh dear- really? Do you like clean drinking water or clean air? How about court of law? Simple things like schools, street signs... too many to count. Please, the cayahoga river in Ohio caught fire 13 times because the private sector kept dumping- it helps spawn the EPA. Seat belts in cars, building codes, sewage treatment- unbelievable how much people have no idea about how government & private sector can work and have to work together- airplane safety- tire safety-... jeesh
TheProphetM
@SoggedNapped We were talking about net neutrality. Some regulations are good, but many hamper business and should be eliminated.
SoggedNapped31-35, M
@TheProphet I agree- the internet is so pervasive and important for consumer usage and the economy , it should be unfettered and not like TV access- the pay as you go..
@SoggedNapped

What you are talking about is nonsense

I am all for that ... we have no right to transmit high band width over other companies infrastructure without compensation.

Yes ... I said we have NO RIGHT
TheProphetM
@questionWeaver I agree and I'm willing to pay to get the best and fastest.
SoggedNapped31-35, M
@TheProphet but you are missing that you may have to pay extra to get to google because Comcast owns Yahoo and that is the default email/search engine. Yes $80/ a month for high speed. Gmail/google/YouTube is just $10/month more. Like to visit manga/anime sites in Japan? $5/monthmore etc- that is the issue - so you $80 a month bill could be 95- Netflix streaming? $10/ AppleTV/ Google music...
TheProphetM
@SoggedNapped As long as I get the fastest and best I don't care about the price. If others can't afford it that's too bad for them.
SoggedNapped31-35, M
@TheProphet so, it鈥檚 onky unfair or unjust if it affects only you? Not asking for free, mind you..
TheProphetM
@SoggedNapped It's a free market economy, the way it should be. I own stock in many of those companies.
SoggedNapped31-35, M
@TheProphet and yet, even with existing regulations, they make a profit and employ people and supply a service- how is that possible. Free markets don鈥檛 exist without some rules
TheProphetM
@SoggedNapped The Law of Supply and Demand is the only needed law.
@TheProphet exactly
@TheProphet I am now glad net neautrality is being eliminated ... at the time, I did not realize how okay people were with violating the law of supply and demand for resource allocation.

If we kept it, they might change the law of gravity next.
SoggedNapped31-35, M
Can鈥檛 tell if you guys are serious about this or just having a good laugh...
@SoggedNapped

I am serious
