Reality is discernible through rational thought.

@LucyCan we can only hope so... seems that perspective is rapidly eroding away.

@roarke It didn't help that due to budget cuts to school curricula adolescents no longer have the tools to solve.

@LucyCan I agree, public curriculum has lost the capacity to teach problem solving. Schools should teach student how to "learn to learn". But navigating through life should start with a solid family nucleus not with public institutions. but that's only one facet of a multi-faceted problem.

@roarke Parents are ill equipped and ill disposed to teach 'reality' in context of how to arrive at absolute truth. Schools are better for this- just like they are with sex ed.

@LucyCan ?????? I don't believe anyone is able to teach or arrive at absolute truth... especially public school systems and as for sex ed.... I'll just say that might be a bad example if evaluated over the last five decades... interesting thoughts though.

@roarke That's just it. The tools for arriving at absolute truth used to be available at high school level. No more. I doubt you would be aware of this if you live in a country like USA where this kind of knowledge is banned. No offense meant.

@LucyCan I'm an old guy... as far back as my life goes, I don't know if there were/are many countries where public education isn't skewed for a manipulated social truth. that being said, educations where a young mind is taught to "learn to learn" via example, I believe is as close to truth as an individual can get. Ultimately, after a certain point, leaning about life and truth becomes very individual.
