Does anybody know the easiest way to self stitch a wound?

I gotta feeling I might need it the next time my dogs get into a fight. Be it me or them who needs it. But so far we cant find a new home for the aggressor. Not that it matters much anyway, since hes still healing.

Make sure that you have a sterile needle and thread (use a lighter on them but don't set them alight) then start a backstitch. Pull it tightly and tie the two ends together at the end. It will hold until you seek medical attention
