Nicest thing your dad ever did for you?

When I was a kid, my mother went thru this crazy phase where she became a Jehovah's Witness, she told us we wouldn't be celebrating Christmas because it's contrary to their belief. Dad said, " You can believe any of that ridiculous crap if you want to, but my boys WILL have their Christmas. He spent an entire weekend decorating the outside of our house much to my mothers chagrin. It was the most beautiful Christmas EVER. A week or so later she was kicked out of the congregation but never said a word.

Parents, please don't impose your religious beliefs on children, it's just so wrong. Let them find their own way right or wrong, they have that right to decide.

Ive been a Christian for 17 years read my bible multiple times, and decided to do a bible study with the Jehovahs witnesses only because they would come to my house. But I dont agree with their perspective of the bible at all! I have kindly shared my kids wisdom from the bible, teaching them right from wrong, and about love and forgiveness.....all of my boys are believers but dont go to church, my daughter is agnostic and I respect that. I believe that the Jehovahs witnesses have only a fraction of the truth.....but I would reccomend to any of my children to read the bible for themselves......out of love not forced.
@schizosaint You're very wise. I myself taught bible study for several decades but became an atheist for reasons I won't go into. Your kids are lucky to have you as a mom.😁
