I was a cop for 21 yrs and smoked weed for most of those yrs when off duty. I didn't bust people for it when on duty unless I had no other choice. In my opinion alcohol is far worse in many ways and I know that because I'm a recovered alcoholic. One day I came really close to being bust by the narcotics squad while I was off duty. Luckily a colleague of mine who worked with them gave me a headsup before they arrived at my home with sniffer dogs. I kid you not. ☺
