I look at every conflict situation as an interesting idea, and it pisses off the person I’m in conflict with.

@Bearserks by intellectualizing a situation, we remove ourselves emotionally from the situation/event. Could be that there's something subconscious that upsets us, or some internal conflict. So rather than deal with what we feel, we break the situation down into segments and analyse them.

By focusing our energy on facts, logic and reason, we can avoid the emotional element which may be uncomfortable or painful for us (or we just don't know how to respond to the emotional response)
