Are You What You Consider To Be A "Nerd''?

So as the question goes. Nerd, geek, dork...we all know the kind of people we consider to be one of those names.

At school I used to get bullied and was called a 'nerd' by the other kids. I always wore my uniform properly, wore glasses, sat at the front of class, was the first to put my hand up to answer questions, a teachers pet...you know what I mean.

I was basically on my own. I sat on my own at lunch time, and whenever one of the kids in my form had a party i was never invited. I used to hate school and would go home and cry.

Now I'm older and at University and i kinda see it. I'm at work placement now and even though I can dress in jeans and a hoodie if i want I still dress smartly; sensible skirt and tights, polo shirt buttoned up and tucked into my skirt, glasses even though i usually wear contacts, hair sensibly tied up, plain black flat shoes.

Is dressing like that at 20 how a nerd dresses? Were the kids at school right all the long? Am I just a nerd?

Ah bah. Do not care too much what others say. I like the fact that you dress smartly with a skirt, polo shirt and tights instead of jeans and hoodies.

@Mugin16 To be honest it feels kinda good to be dressed "nerd like" now.

@MaryJo1996 You also give a much better impression of yourself. A skirt and blouse/top looks much more elegant and feminine than jeans and a hoodie.

@Mugin16 Definitely not a blouse enviroment. Just denim skirt and a polo shirt is plenty smart here.

@MaryJo1996 I see. Well denim skirt and polo Shirt looks nice too.

MaryJo1996 · 26-30, F

Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@MaryJo1996 What part of your work placement do you like best? Which tasks?
MaryJo1996 · 26-30, F
Interviewing footballers! 😂😂
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@MaryJo1996 I doubt they have much interesting things to say.
MaryJo1996 · 26-30, F
Why do you say that?
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@MaryJo1996 Judging from the interviews professional footballers have given. ;-)
MaryJo1996 · 26-30, F
Bit judgemental if you've never spent time around them.
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@MaryJo1996 If you think so.
MaryJo1996 · 26-30, F
I do yeah. Frankly i'd have thought a man of your age might be a bit more open minded.
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@MaryJo1996 And who is now judgemental? ;-)
MaryJo1996 · 26-30, F
Me.
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@MaryJo1996 Indeed.
MaryJo1996 · 26-30, F
Though i am at least making a judgement based on conversing with you.
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@MaryJo1996 And I have listed to many interviews with footballers.
MaryJo1996 · 26-30, F
But never spoke to them.
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@MaryJo1996 Do they say more intelligent things after or before the interview?
