Do you think some people are born with sociopathic tendencies or do you think they gain these traits throughout their life ??

The evidence strongly suggests they are created by very abusive childhoods

@SW-User could contribute but I'm fairly certain my grandparents were not abusive to my father, his brother and sister were not the way he was. I have a sister who is a narcissistic socipath and her daughter too, I think it is trickling down from the roll of the dice in genes.

@cherokeepatti No-one is born abusive. The US is heavily sold on genetics but the evidence doesn't stack up. The social environment can also contribute
It's a very troubled culture

@SW-User I've seen things first hand that make me think otherwise, and adoptive parents who have never had a problem with their natural-born children have adopted sociopaths who first showed tendencies as soon as they could crawl. Remember seeing parents talk about the boy they adopted and he would bite chunks on their arms of their girls as soon as he could crawl, they told him he was adopted as soon as they thought he was old enough to accept it and that's when the death threats began, they hid and locked up the knives but he also threatened to burn their home down with them in it. After they did some research they found out his father was a criminal and in prison long term.

@cherokeepatti Your last sentence supports what I've said. And the adoption would also have had an effect. As said no-one is born bad. So much after birth is glossed over. In tge first nine months whatever happens will have a profound effect on the brain. Why the adoption? A perfect home? Obviously not
