katielass · F
@Bluesky53 Not to my knowledge. It measures the Prostate specific antigen and I don't believe food or drink interferes

@katielass what will the do in the morning?just draw blood?the results will determain if I need further screening?
katielass · F
@Bluesky53 Yes, it's a blood test. I don't recall for sure but it should be below 7 if my memory serves me. Don't take that to the bank though. The person who draws your blood might know.

@katielass If wose comes to worse i'll be ahead of it?i'm having no trouble going to the restroom or discoloring?stay with me,,,,,,

@Bluesky53 If you aren't having any symptoms you are probably fine. It's routine to check at your age because that's when men start getting BPH, or enlarged prostate. I've taken care of dozens of men who had a TURP. Not such a big deal.
Bluesky53 · 61-69, M
@katielass good,what is BPH?WHAT IS TURP?
katielass · F
@Bluesky53 Benign prostatic hypertrophy, aka enlarged prostate and TURP is transurethral resection of the prostate. But you're not there I'm sure or you'd be having symptoms. It's common among older men but not everyone gets it. Anyway you're still kind of young.
