Ever wish you could just start over?

rckt148 · 61-69, M
there was a time Randall yes ,
but now I take the experience of all my failures and also the good I have done ,
and I reflect on the things I was doing wrong and try not to repeat the same mistakes twice (some things I am still a little hard headed )
But now I can pass my experience on to my kids
and unlike my Dad who just said "Don't" I share with my kids the things I have done and how some of it cost me ,if they chose to repeat my mistakes ,well I had to learn the hard way too .
But for the most part (Especially since they turned 30 ) they like Dads advice ,and I don't meddle ,if they ask I will help ,other then that if I don't support them ,I don't add my 2 cents unless its asked for (Sometimes that hard ).
But I wouldn't change a thing ,,even though I wish I had missed some of the pain and the broken hearts .
But its my lust for success that caused me to neglect the things I should not have neglected ,and losing it all that taught me the best lessons .
So now I have a balance ,a great family ,and I want for nothing ,why would I risk messing all that up ?
I have lived a full life ,did things most men only dream about ,I took the risk and I paid the price and it all made me who I am today .
I wouldn't change a thing ,I might really mess it up if I had another chance ,
This life had enough lessons in itself ,
No need to look back ,,I am finally who my Grandma hoped I would be LOL
She would be proud of my family and I ,I am now proud of us too
I want to run away and live in a cave where no one can find me

If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

Nah, I wouldn't want to give up what I know now.

@NankerPhelge Yeah, I guess, but you might just inevitably end up at the same place, as I assume you'd be the same person, with the same upbringing... etc.

I guess if you had knowledge you started over, and kept all of the knowledge from your previous life... sure. Then I'd do it.
Definitely. I imagine more have than haven't.
