My dad had died. My wife was driving me to depression and suicide (she later admitted she did it on purpose). I had just started therapy.
I started out by downloading a random “anonymous” help app. Basically people would express themselves or ask questions and you could interact with them.
It was ok but I wanted something different. Then I found that Experience Project. It was exactly what I was looking for: a place to socialize.
EP gave me that place. I found a few key people but I interacted with many of the randos on there.
EP shut down and a few weeks later my mom died. Everything I could have expressed and shared was silenced by the fact my anonymous crowd was nowhere to be found.
PerfectionOfTheHeart told me about SW. She said it was just like EP.
It was still a horrible time for me once I got to SW. I quickly found friends and made it a home.
It’s not always great here. Friends take breaks, others fall of the wagon, but you make due with what you have.
I wish you the best of luck here.
