Is it impossible to learn to sing independently?

No Just sing more eventually you'll find your voice and learn your range. I realized after joining the army I could sing. Vibrato is awesome!

Haha you'll find it eventually ... find an artist who's voice relatively matches the octaves you can sing and listen to them and sing along over and over again
