Best of luck to you. I'm sure you're prepared. Remember that the hurricane models are very good in predicting landfall and movement, but not as good in predicting strength. Many recent hurricanes have strengthened more and faster than anticipated, and this one is over the hot Gulf waters today.
@windinhishair I'm not prepared at all! I would be a good character in a safety film about hurricane preparedness! I don't have any supplies up or anything....*Upate! I'm going to the shores of Blackwater bay for the hurricane! My ex land lady wants me to help her put the storm shutters up and move and tie down. I'm going to ride it out there with her.

Be careful. You'll be on the side of the hurricane that gets the highest winds and storm surge. Make sure you're at least 12 feet above sea level. The last time I was down that way for some work at Eglin AFB, I remember that area being very flat and susceptible to storm surge.
