suppose 5 men break into my home for stealing and I happen to have a licensed weapon and I shot them all before they even had a chance to attack me.
Would I be convicted or it will be called an act of self defence?

Stealing? Is it imaginable the material things don't always matter? Furthermore, as you have not stated they actually posed an actual threat to you, outside of material, most you might get is aggravated assault, or criminal negligence causing death: as you never stated the actual threat your bandits were causing you hypothetically.

@yondu I think the court may find the justification of yours doesn't fit the means. Which I think in any court would translate to manslaughter, but I could be wrong and would be dependent in sentencing upon circumstance.
