Why Do Americans Value A Piece Of Cloth So Highly?

Why do these morons think a flag means anything? I respect my country, but I don't cry about the flag. It means nothing ultimately. If someone shits on the British flag then whatever, they needed a shit. Is America so empty of real meaning that a flag means that much?

We love our flag because it represents how bad ass we are. America RULES! No country has ever been, or ever will be greater!
@MrEMann I totally agree with you, but at the same time, I can completely relate to why Australia or some other 'kick ass' country would feel the exact same way about their 'own' country. Australia has allowed themselves to be invaded. but they still kick ass!

@MrEMann When you have an empire that contains 23% of the world's population and on which the sun literally never set, covering over 35,500,000 km2, and all from a base of operations one third the size of the state of Texas, then get back to us on that 'no country has ever been greater' thing...

Lots of love - GREAT Britain 😉 😁
@Quizzical Yay, England! Stay England!
MrEMann · 51-55, M
@Quizzical Well, litterally a handful of farmers sent good ol' mother England packing in the 1700's. We took our independence and never looked back. Then we rose and became the most powerful nation to ever exist. True, England owns a crapload of land, all over the world. But what have they done with it? If I were runnin the show, we'd take the British Empire for our own, put the queen in a lovely retirement home, and make proper use of all that land. Come on! You honestly think we couldn't do it?

@MrEMann Logistics played a huge part in that rebellion... Ultimately, America wasn't worth the effort, time, or expenditure.

And you're not the most powerful nation to ever exist, lol
MrEMann · 51-55, M
@Quizzical EVER! Yesterday, today and tomorrow. Anyone can say it wasn't worth their effort after they're sent home crying. I just don't understand two things... Why we LET Canada go, and why we didn't just take England after we claimed America.

'MERICA!

@MrEMann Take England? Lmao...

You really are deluded.
MrEMann · 51-55, M
America craps turds bigger than England. Aside from public image and political correctness, I believe the only rwason we don't take her is she's too soggy! LMAO!
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@MrEMann You 'might' be able to do it now, but back then you wouldn't have stood a chance...
MrEMann · 51-55, M
Ok, ok... I admit I was having a little fun at your expense here with a little harmless trolling. But, had you seen I was merely defending our flag against the insults of a snot-nosed kid, maybe you'd a never chimed in and fell victim to my off-color wit. (no "u" in color. see?) *wink* Anyway, no hard feelings, I hope. All is fair in love and war and internet banter. Lol!
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@MrEMann Well, I did have a feeling you might have been joshing 😊

@MrEMann No sure how a 21 year old woman constitutes a "snot-nosed kid", but ok. 😂😂
MrEMann · 51-55, M
@MaryJo1996 😜

@MrEMann You've bored me already.

Not even entering "debate" on this issue anymore, so enjoy.

Well, your first response to my original comment didn't indicate you were very interested. A gentleman knows it takes two to tango and doesn't try to force chemistry. It either happens, or it doesn't. Still, so sorry I failed to entertain. I'll work on that.
