I'm an Android fan... But to me the main differences are these... Android allows you to play around with the phone and how it operates far more than Apple, but if that doesn't interest you then I'd recommend an I phone .. they're ready to use etc.... One point of difference also is the camera.. I have friends who are professional photographers and they are the Samsung camera is better than the apple .. if that's important to you

@Salix75 with rebates and such, i think i got my LG G4 for $30. i know you can get a decent motorola for $300-400. that's 600 less than the new iPhone and there isn't $600 more in value on the iPhone for me.

@testbutton guess I'm cheap lol. I refuse to pay any money lol. The only reason I'm even considering a new phone is because it would be free (I currently have an iPhone 5S which does everything I need it to)

@RodneyTrotter I have an iPhone now, and the way Apple does business is one of the major reasons I'm seriously considering moving to Android. It's almost more of a moral issue rather than having a better/newer phone☺

I have a ZTE Blade Max 3 and it works perfectly fine for me. No contract and it's $40 a month. Unlimited text and talk. Internet run smoothly. I don't have a personal computer and this does everything I need it to do. Speakers and volume are loud and the picture quality is awesome. The dual camera feature takes amazingly sharp pictures.

@TimSummers that's sort of the crux of the issue. I refuse to pay any $$... I currently have an iPhone 5S which does everything I need it to so don't really feel a "need" for anything better (though iOS 11 is causing some issues).
