@bigjohndl Funny how that is being conveniantly ignored by certain players, owners, whiney liberals, and the liberal media
bigjohndl · 70-79, M
It seems to be also ignored by the NFL brass.
Tminus6453 · M
@bigjohndl Well no shock there, if Goddell every did anything by proper the rules of the league it would be a first

Think about this also:
Kneeling is a submissive posture. To kneel before something or someone you are saying that that person or thing is greater than yourself and you are humbling to it. To kneel is not a sign of power, but of weakness. We kneel before God because he is greater than us.

What I would do...first n foremost is pay off Ll debt...put A LOY away..invest...n finally get a vacation.. if enough distribute to deserving friends family..n donate to animal causes
aradia11 · 61-69, F
Absolutely...O have stated before... The money these players make...they could donate to inner city program's. At risk kids programs to help the issue. Fitsgerald does! That's the example they should follow..not knucklehead's..Kaperknick

What drama with no real content!
Get on with playing the sport they are paid for.

@Nimbus exactly...would be good if the money collected was donated to hurricane victims or something though....that would help out a whole lot. Let's see if it's worth it to the players to take the knee once again.
Tminus6453 · M
Hahahaha... thats awesome.. fine every player who protest the anthem
Spitbak · 56-60, M

shuhak · M
It's about time. If I protested (in any way) at my job I'd been fired on the spot. These ego-driven losers are no different. Protest on your OWN time!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@shuhak exactly either protest or better go out and go help someone in some way
elVato · 46-50, M
Isn't great that here in the US this kinda of crap becomes news.

How the fuck is artificial enforcement of 'patriotic display' part of a code of conduct? The NFL is fucking deranged.

@cherokeepatti The contract details specific duties & remunerations. I'll put hard cash on the fact that it doesn't include 'obey all the NFL whims' or 'demonstrate artificial patriotism' anywhere in the contract
Simply saying, they've signed a contract, they have to obey any whim of their owner, just reveals the underlying worldview of the speaker.

@firefall I disagree
sarabee1995 · 26-30, FVIP
@firefall They signed a contract stating that they will be on the field at the sideline by the beginning of the national anthem. That same contract notifies them that if they are not on the field they are then subject to fines.
