Do you even realise how many new people you see on SW when you're back after leaving for just one month?

I was so annoyed and sad cause "Oh, all the good people are leaving this shitty site!" that I felt like I had to leave too. And now I feel like I don't know anyone. Maybe they're new or just people who decided to come back. Maybe this place is not as dead as most of us like to think.馃

I see more leaving than joining. The site seems to be in a decline. Perhaps not, but it feels that way. I believe some of the new ones and second and third accounts of those here already. Or name changes. Something I would never do, much less even consider.

The issues is the age demographics the site attracts 8-39 year olds. For those over 40, who REALLY ARE over that age- there is not much. The site, and social media as as whole, has replaced TV as a babysitter for the young. EP had many millions more member and it balanced out more. bu tin the end, it was a baby sitter as well.

That is not to say I do not have some very dear young friends- there are always exceptions to the above- one of bff's is 19! And very smart!

Someone said the same as you yesterday- I just do not see it.

@Elandra77 Hmmmmm that was my point actually. When I used to come back here every single day I felt just like you! But now that I started taking long breaks...the place really looks so different to me.
@SW-User Then it it a bit like a mall I visit every year to 2 years. Distabce form it keeps me fro going. But when I do it is never the same. Sure some storefronts are the same- and the sell the same mdse. but it just feels wrong. new stores new people- I get looked at like "why are YOU here" Externally , it looks the same, The cosmetic image of it has not changed.

When get back home from it I think to myself how different that was and how that was the last time. Whereas the mall I regularly go to. many know my name- or me by sight-and I feel at home (that equates to me on her unlike you who left and came back, you equate to the former)

We talk a like alike in opinions on this. If I had an absence I may see it as you do.

@Elandra77 I think that's a good example. That's exactly what it's like for me now. The saddest part is that I only just came back and already feel like I want to leave again.
@SW-User I have heard a lot recently- who stopped in or came back, say exactly that. For a few it was the new faces, for others they felt as if there was nothing here FOR them anymore.
