Have you ever loved a jerk?

Because deep down he was a good person. He loved his family. Would bend over backwards for some of his friends give them the shirt of his back and literally his last dime. I'll never know why he saved his worst for me. Why I wasn't worth more to him.

He was brilliant, funny, interesting and basically my favorite person ever. I don't know why he was a jerk to me. I'm sure he'd say the same about me.


I wish this wasn't about more than one person...
