Ice Boxes
Today I saw a quiz on yahoo for Baby Boomers, which indicated that they remember "ice boxes" instead of refrigerators. Weren't these much earlier? Does anyone of that generation recall ice men delivering blocks of ice every day?

They kept calling them that years after they had electrical fridges
