Should I leave the UK?

I really love the UK but I don't know, I don't think I'm accepted here and that is really getting me down

What makes you feel not accepted ?

I get some abuse at work, usually because of my accent (Dutch)@Plain
@SophieC anyone abiding you for that must be an idiot. Can you ignore them ? Or fight back ? Or ask the boss to have a word with them?

I work in a hospital so i can't ignore people. The police get involved but nothing really happens I'm told its part of the job but it isn't @Plain
@SophieC I agree it isn't , you shouldn't have to put up with that. If it's not in London , try moving to London? There are so many nationalities and accents in London I doubt anyone would bat an eyelid at a Dutch accent .

I struggle to live where I do, I doubt I could afford to live in London@Plain
@SophieC good point but you could try house sitting. Some agencies can get you cheap accommodation that way , so I hear anyway. If you work for the NHS don't they have a procedure for filing a grievance about this issue?
@SophieC Google "global guardians UK" and "house sitting agencies London"

A lot of times you just let it go. A couple of times the police get involved but nothing happens@Plain
@SophieC that's a shame. Just ignore the idiots and focus your attention and energy on nice people instead ? See above re house sitting for cheap ways to live in London
