Your 20s are the age where you're told you have to take care of everything by yourself but your parents still want to control your life....lol

What a dilemma, actually what a great inconvenience when will i ever do what the heck i want
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
My mom died when I was 22, and the next day my dad told me to move out in 2 months so my estranged half-sister could move in. He was allowed no more input/control of my life after that.
offingg · 31-35, F
@Starcrossed I'm so sorry you went through that, what did you do to survive?
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@offingg moved in with my abusive boyfriend in his mother's moldy basement for a couple yrs. I also lost my job a week before she died (the house was supposed to be mine, we knew she was dying). I lived off savings until I got a new job 3 months later.

@Starcrossed That must've been really tough, i'm glad you survived though.

@Sniper Sometimes, I need to make my own mistakes to learn, they can't shield me from the world

Being in your 20s means you can do whatever the heck you want, even if your parents say otherwise. You just have to be willing to live with the consequences.
offingg · 31-35, F
@DistilledSpirit I still want my family in my life
Up to you, to become independent... Parents like to control.
offingg · 31-35, F
@JustLikeGreta At what age?

offingg · 31-35, F

Speak for yourself, please.

Of course.
offingg · 31-35, F
@SW-User You don't even have any idea you set yourself up with that one lmao, girl bye.
SW-User
Haha. Again, it's your opinion. Nothing else.
Rambler · 61-69, M
Usually the answer to that is -- when you can pay for it.
offingg · 31-35, F
@Rambler I think my parents are just way too over-protective
Rambler · 61-69, M
@offingg That's certainly possible, some people are. It's hard to see the nest get empty.
SailorMarz · F
Are you still living under their roof?
offingg · 31-35, F
@SailorMarz No I moved out when i was 18/19 for uni
SailorMarz · F
Okay. How are they still controlling you? Lol @offingg
offingg · 31-35, F
@SailorMarz There are a lot of ways you can control your offsprings, it's not "physically" speaking. It's guilt tripping etc....
whateverhappens · 26-30, F
i dont mind if mom wants too take care of me sure okay, im in no rush too grow up but i do wanna MOVE OUTTT
tiggerandariel13 · 46-50, MVIP

offingg · 31-35, F
@tiggerandariel13 Ok, tiggerandariel13, that's great for you but that has nothing to do with my statement over here.
Doomflower · 36-40, M
It gets so much worse. You have no idea.
offingg · 31-35, F
@Doomflower You gotta be kidding me, please
