Anyone else on the eastern gulf coast notice that the birds went silent yesterday morning and haven't made a sound since?

They are deep thinkers aren't they? They know something's up...feel sorry for the birds caught in the eye of the hurricane, the animals on the Texas coast were traumatized when the first responders went to the beach after the hurricane made landfall, the alligators they saw seemed traumatized too.
@cherokeepatti Were not out of the woods but it likely the Peninsula is most likely to get slammed. The European model almost puts us in a possibly bad place. My ex land lady said for me to ride it out in this slum apartment of mine. I don't think she likes me anymore. Seems to be going around lately. I'm like 5 feet above the Blackwater River, which is literally a stones throw away. I called her this morning and she cheerfully told me to ride it out in this pile of tooth picks and Popsicle sticks. It's probably not going to affect us much anyway if the forecasters are right. The northwest side of the storm can be dry as a bone a hundred miles from the center.

@puck61 Wow Puck I hope you will be safe...
@cherokeepatti I don't want to see anyone have lives turned upside down or be hurt, but it has to go somewhere!

@puck61 Well at least post something every once in awhile, you know we'll be thinking and worrying about you all.
@cherokeepatti I will. Thank you Patti!
