I detest liars so much

Often, in my experience, it feels like they don't want to handle consequences of their actions. Or they want to take advantage of others by deceiving them, or (maybe most commonly) they do it to get ahead in life.
I don't agree with it either. I have very low tolerance for lying, even by "friends."

There is tact that is having filters, then there are those who want to play with your head or make themseleves out to be something they are not, that is probably who you are referring to. Whatever the reason fear or manipulating others is is not fun for the one on the other end of the lying. I spent over 20 years married to a liar it was hell.
