Do you think flag-burning is wrong?

Wraithorn · 51-55, M
In public, yes. Because it will offend someone and possibly trigger a worse thing. On the other hand, as far as I know, the approved method of disposing of old flags is to burn them. Apparently as a result of this loads of flags are burned by boy scouts.

Depends if it's factory made or handcrafted.

If someone made that, it's kinda rude to that person. It's a lot of effort to make a flag.

I say if you burn the flag of your country why the fuck do live in it?
Not if it says "Trump" on it -- that would be fine.

I personally abhor it but the court has ruled it speech. Fortunately, most of us are tolerant of hate speech even tough we do not approve of it. It's the price we agree to pay for having the right to express ourselves.

I think it's disrespectful, but I don't necessarily think that people shouldn't be allowed to do it.

It's disgraceful and disrespectful, but people can do what they chose

Not as long as it's not your national flag

It is childish in my opinion what does it prove?
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
Covered under free speech. That being said, if I disliked where I was THAT MUCH, I would just leave.

@bijouxbroussard I guess I don't feel like antagonizing people. At least not today.
@uncalled4 I might've shown more restraint. But she felt antagonized because someone was protesting to keep such flags on display in California, after our governor declared they were to be banned from being flown on the outside of any public buildings, same as the swastika.

@bijouxbroussard I am all for freedom of expression, especially when people express how idiotic they are.
It's disrespectful. Which makes it, while controversial, a logical method of expressing disrespect for what the flag involved represents.🤔

I can understand why it might make some people upset but in the end a flag is just a symbol. Personally I couldn't care less if someone burns a flag. It's just an inanimate object.
