So... have you ever been treated as mere convenience in the workplace, rather than an asset of the team? What's the best way to change that?

I worked overnight at a supermarket and we have a number system(piece count) to measure performance, and mine was usually towards the top, I often finished early and helped others, and towards the end of employment I was training all new people. But they didn't show me any respect during meetings or general discussion and I then I put in my two weeks notice and they were ready to give me the world to stay, but I decided to go anyway because I didn't want to spend my life working overnight

I have been there, once you are viewed as a tool you never will be able to change it unless you start fresh
