No. Every year, for the past several years I've tried to view the Persiedes meteor showers. Every year, I see a couple falling stars, and that is all. I viewed in an area which was pitch black.

@SW-User Hard to believe most of them are the size of an apple seed.They come in so fast they leave a huge trail.
