If u saw a man beating a woman, would u call the police ?

Once again I have seen something that many of you don't have the opportunity to see. While I was at a restaurant eating my breakfast this morning, I noticed something. Outside a few feet away, and I saw a man slap a woman. Before you say anything, this couple is seen all over town daily. People saw them fighting from a distance, and nobody did a thing. I started to call the cops, but something said no. This was while I was about to get back into my car. I just stared, and they saw me looking at them. Then I went on my way. She has been with him for a long time, and I am sure her boyfriend has done this before. I thought to myself, why bother, she will just go back to him anyway. Was I wrong in not calling the cops. Something inside of me said this, she will leave when she is tired of him and for good. What do you think ? Give me your answers please. ☺

Tricky you could have called the cops and they could have denied the whole thing happened unless there were other witnesses. I think the view the law take is that they need a statement from the woman to say he hit her. I know a woman who got beat up by her partner constantly and her son saw this for years she never complained to the police. The partner ran a football team and seemed outwardly to people he was a nice guy.
Anyway one night the guy starts beating on the mum again and the son tackled him and stabbed him not meaning to kill him though. The mother never defended her son in court and there was no police record of abuse. The boy is in jail for life and his mother doesn't visit him so tragic.

@Cutiepi23 He kept saying, come here boo boo. I love you. I need you. You know how abusers do. Its like they are all the same. The same agenda, the same mindset, and the same manipulation. But I feel that soon she will leave this idiot and set herself free.
