I don't remember, I don't remember a time when I wasn't playing in the water and I have always been able to not drown. But I don't think I ever paid attention to any type of technique until I had to do rescue swimming in the military.

@krf336 I don't even remember not knowing how to swim. My mom had us in the water at a very early age. Taught both my sister and I how to swim very young.

Me too, I feel like I was born in the water, Once I learned to scuba dive I think I want to die there too! lol

@krf336 I can identify with that. I haven't tried scuba yet but have done free diving for quite a while.

I wouldnt mind trying that, but I dont have a huge lung capacity. I guess that comes with Practice though

@krf336 It does come with practice. Also learning proper breathing before you dive.

I am sure. that is true of scuba diving as well, but capacity is not as much of a focus.
