At what age do your memories begin?

I have an unusually long memory, I remember things from when I was just over a year old.

I've always wondered, how do you know what age you were in a memory? Especially at an early age like one year old.

@LadyAlera Well, I was born in November of 82, and I had just learned to walk, and it was Christmas, so it must've been Christmas of 83.
