Have you thought about making a living will? Or a last will and testament?

A friend of a friend died suddenly last night. They didn't have a will, their wishes, as far as we all know, are unknown.
As someone who wants to honor the dead, it's a little disconcerting. I don't really know this person, I've met him maybe 4 times, but he still deserves a celebration that he would've wanted. His belongings aside, I find myself more worried about his funeral. He seemed like a minimalist, like he didn't need much to be happy. Funerals can be very, very pricey and I feel like he cared about his family not killing themselves financially for this..like he doesn't need much. I can only imagine the pain they're going through, emotionally and possibly financially soon.

I've already created my own living will, my boyfriend and father have a copy of it. I haven't created my last will and testament because I still haven't decided on a lot of things..me being 24 has absolutely no bearing on such decisions, especially when we're not guaranteed a tomorrow and the funeral industry, unfortunately, is not cheap.

Are you prepared for whatever may come? Do you trust your loved ones to make the right call?

People normally put off making a will as it is the fear that it reminds them about death.

@SW-User A rational, healthy fear of death is fine...but putting it off too long can be disastrous when accident happens.
We may not want to think about it because it's scary, but those that are survived by us are gonna feel the impact as they scramble to put everything together..or even scramble to decide if life support is worth keeping up after a while.
