Massachusetts is deciding whether or not to legalize gun silencers...

But if silencers are illegal and the police catch you with a silencer, then they can arrest you and potentially prevent a tragedy. If someone hears a gunshot, then they know to look out to make sure they don't get shot next. If they can't hear a gunshot because a silencer was used, then they become easy prey if the shooter wants to shoot again.
