The US dollar is slipping in value - will that help US exports?

SW-User
yup, but it will make imports more expensive and increase inflation..
if it continues to weaken interest rates could begin to climb.. that could have a negative effect on real estate sales and new housing starts as mortgage rates go up.

Probably a little but not many around the world want to buy US products with trumpster in the government
@lorne13 Well he can send the coal miners back down into the "black hole" tunnels so that they can start paying taxes again and then we will have enough money to buy "see thru" solar panels from China. Did you ever pick up 60 pounds, of anything, and throw it over a 20 foot high wall ?

@softspokenman It's easy enough to get 60 pounds over the wall if you use a trebuchet like they did in mediaeval days. It's funny but I could have sworn that one of Trumps reasons for the wall was that it would stop drugs crossing the border - obviously he's changed his mind
Side Note: I buy the "Grown In USA", highest quality money can buy. It also creates jobs that pay taxes. @softspokenman

Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@Goralski it's been slipping for the last couple of weeks and is now at a two year low

@Dlrannie ya gotta check your figures its ahead of the euro and the euro used ta be around 140 meaning it would take one dollar and forty cents ta buy one
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@Goralski It's you that needs to check your figures - the US dollars is off by 10% against the Euro this year.
A slight economic readjustment in the near future ?

YES and should create more jobs
Wonder why it's slipping?
