@Miram ridicule them? That is where one feels disrespected. A crowd of people don't have same level of patience. It definitely turns into violence. History speaks.

I have experienced violence and discrimination not for criticism nor ridicule , but for simply leaving the faith.
My silence and respect did not stop them.
Of course, but that doesn't cancel my right in any way.
It is their legal obligation to refrain from violence.
It is more ethical and moral to learn controlling themselves, than attempt controlling individual speech. Crowd or otherwise.

@Miram What I said, goes for all regardless of any faith. It implies to any culture, custom which followed by masses. They will accept you in time.
