I Want to Go On a Road Trip

@Bushranger Most anywhere in the States. Plan to be in Florida at the end of this month and in Arizona/Mew Mexico the latter part of next.

@glad18 Nice. It's always good to travel. Should be hitting the road myself in a couple of months.

@Stereoguy Will be spending the winter in central Queensland.

@Stereoguy Yep, hopefully away for about three months.

@Stereoguy Hopefully around the mid 20s (that's centigrade around 70s farenheit) and dry, but with the way things are going it might be a bit hotter. Where I live it will be in around 10C and wet.

What will the weather be like where you're going?

@Stereoguy Nice. Don't know why you'd leave it in winter then lol. What's it like in summer?

@Stereoguy Sounds lovely. I tend to avoid the coast, too many people for my liking lol.

@Stereoguy We work on the basis that if a town has a MacDonald's or a KFC then it's marginal in terms of size. If it has both, we try to avoid it like the plague lol. We've been to places with populations in the single figures, such wonderful places and people.

@Stereoguy Not to mention expensive. I've spent $60/night for a tent space.

@glad18 Damn, that's steep. We travelled for about three months a couple of years ago, almost a complete lap, but we left out the top left hand corner. Averaged about $3.00/night for accommodation. Did a lot of free camping.

It was Lower Keys in late January. High season.

@glad18 Wouldn't want to stay for very long.

@Stereoguy Wow, that's beautiful! I would love to have a place like that, especially in the winter.

@Stereoguy While I like the coast, I prefer the inland. As Banjo Patterson wrote "... the vision splendid of the sunlit plains extended/And at night the everlasting stars."
