I Want to Go On a Road Trip

If money and time were no problem;

What route would you drive?
What car would you choose?
Who would you take with you?

I would drive to the southern tip of Florida, then to the west coast of British Columbia, across Canada to the the eastern part of Newfoundland, then to California and down the west coast of Mexico. I would drive an Audi RS5, and I would probably do that drive alone.

@gmatthewb thats a great road trip and a superb car. So long as you dont get too lonely I hope you get to do it one day.

@Ironicman I'm a truck driver, so I'm used to driving alone. I'd have audio books to keep me company. I did drive to Newfoundland with my wife in September in our car. It was a good trip. What would your answer to your question be?
Ironicman · 56-60, M
@gmatthewb that makes a lot of sense.
My trip would take in as much of Europe as possible, focussing on the Alps. Car would be a Triumph TR6. I would like to take my wife but until our kids are done with school it might have to be solo too!

@Ironicman I did a road trip like that with my grandfather when I was about 14. He was Swiss, so I got a good tour. We started in Amsterdam and went down through France, over to Austria and Western Germany (wall was still up at the time) and back to Amsterdam to fly back home. Lot of good memories. Please tell me the top would be down on the TR6 the whole drive, that would make it so much better.

@gmatthewb of course the top will be down as much as poss. Preferably a summer trip. What a cool dude Grandfather!

@Ironicman Okay, you're cool because the top is down. I can't imagine how good that engine would sound on a trip like that. Be great on the switch backs through the Alps too.

@gmatthewb ive wanted tr6 since a kid!

@Ironicman 77 Trans Am was my choice. Triumph made some great cars.
